Chopperland RE 350 vs Chopperland SR 400

Elders Garage has just finished new a Chopperland built with SR 400 engine and it is about time to introduce her to the outer world, the nature. We also bring the RE 350 motorized – black Chopperland. after a quick research, we decided to pin Mount Bromo as the perfect terrain to test Choperland’s performance.
Anti Mainstream and weird Broombroombro MC
We were very excited for the trip but since we only have lazy riders (but seriously adventurous) for the trip, we towed the bike from Jakarta to the nearest city to Mount Bromo, Malang. It is 13.00 right after lunch we begin the ride Accompanied by a few lonely old and young fellow from Broom broom Bro Motorcycle Club. A motorcycle club so mysterious it never had an MC logo.
The ride from Malang to Mount Bromo is 70 km far and normally take 3 hours long ride. Our ride begins at 13.00 and ends at 21.00, we pull over every few kilometers to take a break lol. Long story short, we made it to Bromo in one piece, bikes are fine, the riders ain’t, but they embrace the lower back pain perfectly. the next morning the adventures begin again.
Before we discuss the bikes, let us explain about Mount Bromo. This slice of heaven is a playground you can have for free. you can go there with bikes and have the best time of your life, seriously. Life changing one. Ok, no need to explain more because you better bring your lazy ass over there and prove it yourself.
Okay now, let’s go down to the real story and get more dramatic. David, who handmade the Chopperland frame himself (well, of course with the help of his down to earth crew) is on the line here. his masterpiece is being tested. will the frame do any good performance out in the wild? well, the answer is like this.  stay with us.
Rider 1 is Heret, using Black Chopperland. Rigid Frame, with a more inward handle bar and longer fork (making it more manly and harder to handle). Powered by RE 350 Engine, we use the original front shock breaker so it is believed without any doubt that this built is perfectly fit for terrain like Bromo & Himalaya. Rider 2 is Anka, riding the latest chopperland built, rustic finishing, rigid frame, flat handlebar (for easier handling and better vision range) but higher foot peg. Anybody asked about this will easily say “well, both riders will have a hard time riding the choppers out there and will definitely have their balls busted in no time”. But what really happens is the opposite of what people think! based on their honest testimony they are perfectly fine, with both balls made it home in one piece and lower back kept relaxed! Amazing! and those built are also unexpectedly easy to handle in such a wild terrain.

Here is the explanation why such a chopper can be really fun and relatively easy to handle in sketchy terrain like Bromo. First, both built is so lightweight that a small guy with a very lean body can handle it. Talking about Black Chopperland,  even on a rigid frame, inward handlebar, and the seat is formed in such way that the riding position is very comfortable, Heret said that it felt just like sitting in a sofa. Lower back pain is probably just a myth!?  Semi Offroad tire also helped alot when it comes to sandy ground.

As for rider 2, Anka, he felt a little bit weird feeling in his lower back but it immediately disappear, swept away by the beauty of the nature Bromo has. His handlebar is more flat and with a shorter fork it makes the ride more enjoyable. Foot peg is a little bit higher than the black built, this could be one reason causing that weird feeling around his lower back.

better handling with a flat bar

After all the review we can come up with the conclusion that David’s Ass is perfectly safe, he and his team made a very good job on both built. both Chopperland can overcome a sketchy terrain, frame quality is on point, riders are all happy and both built handled everything with no hustle.
We would like to thank BROOMBROOMBRO  for being such a fun people out there and for letting us shoot for this blog in almost every time we had together in Bromo.
